Eligibility Requirements:

You must be a high school freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior or a current or entering college or graduate school student of any level. Home schooled students are also eligible. There is no age limit. You must also be a U.S. citizen or legal resident.

To Apply:

Visit the digital responsibility website and complete the online Scholarship Application Form.  Submit a personal 140-character statement that completes this sentence:

I pledge to not text and drive because…

The top 10 applications will be selected as finalists. The finalists will be asked to write a full length 500- to 1,000-word essay about texting while driving.

Do Something: Power To The Period Scholarship

Application Deadline:

September 30, 2016

Award Amount:

$5,000

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be a current college student

To Apply:

Visit the DoSomething.org website and complete the application. You will need to collect unopened packages of period products and donate them to a local shelter. According to the organization, “Many of the 3.5M Americans who experience homelessness each year have extremely limited access to period products (pads, tampons, etc.). Period products are the most needed items in homeless shelters across the country.”

You must submit a photo of the period products donated to a homeless shelter.
